DP-500 is a digital audio player designed specifically for music-on-hold and storecasting
applications. It can be used to provide on-hold music/message to holding callers via a phone system in order to keep them informed or entertained. Thanks to its true CD sound quality and MP3 support (small file size), DP-500
can also be used to broadcast a hugh amount of crystal clear audio via a PA system for storecasting applications.
Digital onhold systems have evolved from the first generation (tape/CD download) and the second generation
(flash card based) to the third generation of network enabled DP-500. Now the content can be updated via the Internet instantly or on a scheduled basis, all without the clients intervention. Futhermore, DP-500 allows the
output volume to be controlled remotely to ensure maximum system performance.
DP-500s huge memory capacity allows hours of audio to be stored for even the most demanding applications. The internal memory, consisting of
a standard flash card, is non-volatile and can be easily upgraded for future expansion.
Designed to conform to popular industrial standards, DP-500 is directly compatible with MP3 and WAV files, which means that
virtually any PC can be used to create and edit sound files for DP-500 without the need for special software or hardware. Sound files will be played from their native formats without going through any further conversion or
transcoding, therefore producing the best possible sound quality.
Although designed mainly as a music-on-hold system, DP-500 can also be used in many other applications to replace traditional endless-loop cassette, tape,
and CD players. Please dont hesitate to contact us if your application requires modifications of the system to meet your specific requirements. We will be glad to work with you.
