EM1448 is specifically designed for elevator announcement application. It contains a VM1448 sound board and an interface board in a heavy duty metal enclosure. Up to 44 different messages can be played back from the internal, nonvolatile memory chips, including 36 floor announcements and 8 special messages. Message arrangement and priority can be customized at the factory.

E M1448 is available in three models with different triggering method:

EM1448-1
All trigger inputs are low-level active and not interruptable. The current message will repeat if its trigger is still active at the end of message. If more than one trigger inputs are active at the same time, those messages will be played sequentially.

EM1448-2
All trigger inputs are rising-edge active and interruptable. That means a new message can interrupt and stop the current message (if any) at any time.

EM1448-3
Trigger inputs 1 to 8 are low-level active, not interruptable, and of higher priority than the other trigger inputs which are rising-edge active and interruptable. That means message 1 to 8 can interrupt message 9 to 44, but not vice versa.
