Depending on the particular model, sound files are stored
in either EPROM chips or a CompactFlash memory card. EPROM based models offer lower costs but limited memory capacity, while CompactFlash based models offer huge memory capacity (more than 1 GB possible) at
reasonable costs. CompactFlash cards of different capacity are readily available because they are widely used in digital cameras.
